With time the popularity of the smartphone not only has not decreased, but even became higher: it took more than six months to sell a million of Centro phones, though to reach the mark of 2 million the Palm company spent only 4 months.
Sales of Palm Centro jumped so high due to discounts provided to subscribers of mobile operator AT&T in the U.S. The $100 smartphone’s price thanks to discount was changed to $70 - of course, with a contract with the mobile operator.
