By the contract, Foxconn will start assembling mobile phones at the end of May. In June American company must receive 3 million of new phones.

According to Taiwan Economic News, new iPhone will be much lighter than iPhone for GSM networks. Instead of 158 grams mobile phone will weigh approximately 110-120 grams and will be thinner by about 2.5 mm. It is anticipated that the weight was reduced primarily due to not usinf of aluminum components in the iPhone. According to rumours, more compact 3G iPhone in a plastic casing will have a multi-sensor touch display with a diagonal of 2.8 inches instead of 3.5 inches in the 1st phone. The second “apple-phone” will also offer customers a GPS-navigation, support of GSM / GPRS / EDGE and WCDMA / HSDPA networks.

It is possible that Apple has several models of iPhone in the development. Previously, information appeared that the company may release their iPhone in form factor of a slider and a book.
