Waterproof mobile phones go to mass-production

Currently there are several models of mobile phones that can be called really waterproof and most of these gadgets are sold in Japan…

According to Engadget.com, in the future almost all mobile phones will be waterproof.

This will be possible due to the development of a British science and technology laboratory owned by the UK Ministry of Defence. Technology of covering for mobile phones is called Ion-Mask. P2i Company which is responsible for the commercialization of laboratory projects, currently negotiation with three largest manufacturers of mobile phones.

It should be noted that water is one of the main reasons for broken mobile phones in the world. In 2006 1.2 million mobile phones “died” from falling into water, washing machines, being under the rain and so on.
