In spring 2008 NTT DoCoMo will integrate into its i-mode service Google search engine, Google mail client and photo-sharing service.

According to Nikkei Business Daily, the strategy includes strengthening DoCoMo functionality in existing services to prevent competitors (KDDI and Softbank) change leader in the Japanese mobile market. DoCoMo has suffered the lose of clients, after Japan adopted a law on which mobile users can go to another operator, leaving their mobile phone number.

Regarding Google, the company plans to move closer to Yahoo Japan Corp. on the market of search services.
