A new law that reinforces the responsibility for using portable devices (which include mobile phones, MP3 players and so on) while driving, came into force in Britain yesterday…

So if a driver is stopped by police for using these devices while driving a car, he will have to pay a fine of 2500 pounds sterling (at today’s date it is 5 thousand dollars).

But that’s not all. At the discretion of the police, the driver can be arrested for 24 hours and set in pre-trial cell.

In case of an accident caused by a driver, who used a mobile phone device while driving a car, the driver may go to prison for up to 2 years and pay very large fines.

Law which went into effect yesterday, in the opinion of its authors will make a psychological attack, and 99% would stop using mobile phones and other portable devices while driving.
