Announcement of smartphone Sony Ericsson P5i put off to 2008

As reported by Engadgetmobile.com Sony Ericsson company has decided to postpone the announcement of smartphone Sony Ericsson P5i from November 2007 to May or June 2008…

According to rumors this decision was taken because of the fact that the mobile phone required substantial changes in functionality and design.

According to unconfirmed information, sliders Sony Ericsson P5i will offer supportof GSM networks with EDGE and WCDMA with HSUPA. It will also have GPS module, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. New mobile phone Sony Ericsson P5i will have 2.8 inches sensor display with a resolution 640x 480 pixels (VGA). For photographing and video it will have 5-Mp camera with auto focus. Built in memory will be 128 MB. Symbian OS 9.3 with the new sensor interface UIQ is going to be its operating system.

    The Sony Ericsson P1i is a great device. However, why didn’t these people come up with a P5i with more internal memory. The P1i contains 160MB. There are certain areas where they beat Nokia but in many other areas such as software (only support .jar files) they get beaten by themselves.
