Though there are some some prerequisites. First, only Airbus can use mobile phones, and second the aircraft has to be equipped with special OnAir system, which enables to monitor activity of mobile phones. It means that thanks to OnAir the crew of a plane, if necessary, at any time can block the use of mobile phones.

So Airbus passengers starting from September this year, will make calls, send SMS and e-mail, from a height of more than three thousand meters. Besides allowing the use of mobile phones in Airbus, will attract more customers to companies that use these planes and not “Boeing” for example.
