Research firm JD Power has published a report of the situation on the mobile market in Great Britain. The results of the study show that, for the first time, in compare with 2006 the number of outgoing calls made by users of mobile phones has declined…

It means that on average, users of prepaid services in 2007 weekly committed up to 10 outgoing calls, when in 2006 this number was 14, which is a 28.5% drop in outgoing call for prepaid subscribers. The same situation is with contract subscribers, which reduced the average number of outgoing calls from 35 in 2006 to 27 in 2007, showing 23% drop of outgoing calls by contract subscribers.
These results led experts from JD Power to suggest that the concept of a mobile service “be always on touch” is losing popularity.

However despite the decline in call activity a text one increased from 32 messages per week in 2006, up to 46 text messages a week in 2007.
