Last week Chipchase travelled to Istanbul where he met the teacher of Istanbul Technical University Mehmet Erkök. Erkök teaches at the Faculty of Design manufactures and showed Chipchase some of his own development.

It is difficult to believe but the phones that are portrayed in the pictures were made on the basis of old Nokia mobile phones. Phones are without shells and linings for digital keyboards but come with various buttons and other details. Erkök also worked on custom menu by changing the location of icons. As you can see it in the photo one of the phones is powered by two rechargeable batteries with total capacity of 5200 mAh, and that is almost six times more than battery capacity of usual mobile phones.
