Voice service is called GOOG-411 and is for use only in the United States.
To use the service, you need to call from a mobile phone or fixed line to the number 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411). The search is made in a database of local enterprises. After you call from a mobile phone and say the phrase “text message” a SMS comes to your number with the requested information. For example if you say the word “pizza” or “McDonald’s” the incoming message will contain the contact details and addresses of all institutions that suit the requested topic and are nearby.

Service GOOG-411 is free and depending on the outcome of the experiment a decision will be taken on its further development. If everything goes well the service will be launched in other countries and the list of supported languages will not be limited just by English.
